Please join New College in celebrating liberal arts learning and the Inauguration of President Donal O'Shea at the 2013
Alumnae/i Reunion Weekend this February 14-17th!
We hope you will be able to join us the weekend of February 14-17, 2013 as we celebrate the inauguration of New College President Donal O'Shea. The last New College inauguration
was of President John Elmendorf in 1967.
The Alumnae/i Association has planned many exciting events and activities that center on this year's theme: a celebration of liberal arts learning. On Saturday, February 16th be sure to join the discussion lead by Dr. Esther Barazzone ('64), President, Chatham University; Dr. Marcia Grant, Provost, Ashesi University (Ghana); and Dr. Susie Bourque, Esther Booth Wiley Professor of Government and former Provost, Smith College on liberal arts learning throughout the world. In addition, Chairman of the New York Federal Reserve Bill Dudley '71 will discuss the ways in which New College's unique liberal arts education have helped him to succeed in the business world.
You will have the opportunity to hear from New College's outstanding faculty and students in a discussion on the unified experience of teaching, scholarship and service at New College or you can relive life in the New College classroom as four faculty each present on their areas
of expertise in our mini class seminars.
Of course, what New College reunion would be complete without the ability to meet and mingle with friends? Join your peers at our alumnae/i welcoming events on Thursday, February 14th. There will be a 47th St. House young alum potluck hosted by Casey Schelhorn '05 and Devin Myers '07 and a mixer at the Hyatt Place hosted by Susan "Spozy" Sapoznikoff '83. You will also have the opportunity to meet new faces during our interactive movie night, the student and alum speed networking mixer, or at Valtentine's PCP.
This reunion truly will have something for everyone!
